Why support Time2Shine? We aren’t a registered charitable trust, we are a passionate, family-owned local business working hard to build something special for our community.

Our Story & How We Got Here

Back in December 2024, we came across the property on Hardy Street. At the time, running my portrait and keepsake business out of our home was becoming a real balancing act. With a toddler and my husband at home, the business really needed its own space, and so did our family!

We weren’t cash-asset rich, but we were finishing up repairs on our home (which we had purchased as-is, where-is, and paid off under a private agreement). Time2Shine was thriving but balancing motherhood, working from home, and sending my family out of the house every time I had clients so they had complete privacy... it was getting tough! I thought I had a well-oiled system, but we knew something had to give.

Then Hardy Street popped up, and things just kept aligning. We were encouraged to make a silly offer, so we took a leap of faith—and here we are! Of Course, all paid with research and knowledge, knowing to tick the right boxes etc.

Building a Hub for New Brighton

By contributing toward our goal, you’re not only helping our family open this beautiful little castle in New Brighton, but you’re also helping enhance our wider neighborhood. As the first commercial spot welcoming people into New Brighton from Pages Road, we are passionate about lifting the visual appeal and vibe of the area.

We’ve come this far, and we’re making it happen. Every bit of support helps us move closer to opening the doors!

However, if you would like to support us in a business capacity, you are more than welcome to purchase a gift voucher for any nominated amount, which never expires and is the greatest gift you can gift your clients, workers, family or yourself.

  • Your donation goes toward helping Laura and her family continue their project at 5 Hardy Street in New Brighton, along with supporting the ongoing running costs of Time2Shine. As a family business that is our sole income, every bit of support truly helps us build this future together. Laura is an open book and is always happy to answer any questions you may have.

  • We would love for you to get more involved! Depending on what you are able to do, please feel free to get in touch. While we don't have many on-site opportunities right now, sharing the Time2Shine brand or spreading the word about our New Brighton mission helps us and our community.
